Sweeping the Floor

Sweep the floor.  Challenge level - Laminated wood flooring

Day one.
Broom & dust pan
10 minutes later the floor is swept, it looks good, we feel good.

Next day
Attention to detail

Now think & focus.  What can I do better?
Everything that can come up off the floor does, and now we see yesterday's missed dirt in corners and under objects.
Again think & focus.  What can I do better?
Green scrubby, metal scraper, and a solvent for anything we find hard to remove.
Now, we are looking for anything that doesn't belong.  A shoe's scuff mark, a piece of tape.
We have to get on our hand and knees, this project is taking way longer than yesterday.  Yesterday's floor clean now pales in comparison to the floor we found today after project completion.  Yesterday we weren't lazy but we didn't realize the potential we could achieve from the simple task of cleaning a floor.
Attention to detail.  We refill printer cartridges like we clean floors.  Assessing the project ahead and thinking about it to determine whether it can be done better.  We take quality over speed every time.

Copy machine can help save you from holes

Many homes improvement projects involve hanging decorative items, such as photo frames or shelving.

Homeowners frequently wrestle with nails, screws and hanging hardware, perhaps creating more holes in their walls than is necessary to get items level and in the right spots.

Instead of playing a guessing game of figuring out where the hanging holes or hooks are located on the back of items, use your office equipment to make life easier.

Make a copy of the back of the item you're trying to hang with a multifunction printer, making sure to copy the item to full scale.

Print the copy at full size and use it to drill the hanging holes.
